If I type what I really think about a fire on a boat that isn't on fire already I`d be banned for profanity.
HOW DO YOU TYPE STUPID IDEA

I have an open wood burning bowl type pit that I bought at home depot on my platform almost every weekend. Not a good idea? Dint worry I keep a bucket and a never ending supply of water next to my boat at all times when lit!

It can be installed over carpet too... Thank god it has a cover when not in use... or someone might get hurt

I am with you... Wood would be so much better

Why use wood when youve got 300 gallons of gas just sitting there?

I was guna say but who ever has a full tank anymore at 4.50 a gallon but now that its 2.25$ by me I finally have a full tank for the first time in a 2 years!

That is without a doubt the stupidest idea I have ever seen. Our marina does not even allow open BBQ flames on boats at or near the docks. I'm sure they'd go for that.

My magma bbq gril has an open flame.....I'm not scared of it. Heck, I've seen pontoon boat people with a straight up "home style" bbq grill on it, grilling steaks and hot dogs! lol

After reading the installation manual at the website provided in the OP, you'd have to be a fool to use one of these. "Use on level surface, don't use in wind, don't get wet, and the best one to contact fire department, insurance carrier, local officials, whoever has local jurisdiction, prior to installing". So, the fire department and your insurance agent will give 2 thumbs up???

I could do with one on the swim platform.

Would be s blast at the fuel wharf!
