Is it ok to Like this?My boat chasing saga has ended for a little. The boat I was considering is under contract with sea trial conducted last week.
I have to question, but why?
If it's all about the total budget, factor shipping into the cost and expand your search radius.
And this was after asking the brokers to take measurements for me since I'm 6'3. "oh yeah, there's plenty of headroom, come look at the boat"...
There are few in my area, never been a fan of them.Have you looked at any Four Winns? They are few and far between but the 348/358 sounds like what your looking for. I'm 6' and plenty of room.... just not sure if there's 3" above my head!
My boating bud sold his 1998 400 CATs 3216s 400DA right after COVID hit for the low 80s. I looked at it, knew the boat well, but couldn't pull the trigger for many good reasons. It sat on the market for over a year before it sold. Kicking myself now as the "good reasons then" are not "deal breakers now".Man these things are popping up left and right now. Folks trying to upgrade over winter in the far north...
You pay the fuel bill, @mrsrobinson and I'll bring it over Buffalo, NY for you. You can take it the rest of the way

Funny how we adjust to styles. The wife and I hate walk thru windshields. Prolly why we stay with older boats. I want a gunnel to go forward.I also had no idea it did not have a walk thru windshield.
Blow. You forgot the Blow! Peanut butter and jelly. Hookers and blow.My boating bud sold his 1998 400 CATs 3216s 400DA right after COVID hit for the low 80s. I swear it’s the main reason, if this gets done, next boat probably be a walk-around style.
Funny you say that cause those trawlers look real good as i get older. 6mph, plow thru any seas, no canvas, the big wooden wheel like on the Pequod. Ahoy Mr Starbucks! She blows! Lower the boats! Pull ye Mateys! I love that movie.Walk thru windshield and wide side decks. The best of both worlds!

Oops. Sorry. I was fantasizing.I was referring to my Four Winns 358. Walk thru windshield and wide enough side decks. Perfect for us.
