I think I finally found a good boat that's priced well/fair

Dang, you missed a screaming deal there. Two docks down from me a 99 400, gas, sold for $120k last Spring. GAS! It did have a brand new Westerbeke onboard. And fresh water. But 80k's for a diesel during covid...there must have been some things wrong with that one...
It right before the COVID price craziness started. It actually may have been mid 70s now that I think about it.

Did it have both engines? Did she float?? :)

I bought mine in 2018 and diesels were not selling for under $100k at that point. Well before Covid came along...

Average retail bluebook on that 1999 is $148k. I was not expecting that to be honest...

@douglee25 no response.

I emailed the broker when the rust and corrosion boat to tell him I'm going to pass.

This is his direct quote reply:

"I'd like to, with all sincerity, tell you to "eat shit" and offer to deliver that message personally should happen to want stop by for visit sometime....Kindest Regards, Mike"

This is Deaton Yacht Sales in Oriental, NC now owned by Zimmerman.

Holy crap, I woulda had to pay that jackass a visit.

After "listening" to you this one has caught my attention: https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/1999-sea-ray-400-sundancer-3487974/

"Showings are every Wednesday"...translation: my lazy ass only works one day a week :)

Remind me what the standing headroom is at the helm and cabin. I don't recall that being an issue for me.

FYI that boat shows as being listed for 4794 days as of today. I’ve inquired about it a few times for clients of mine. No reply. Looks like you recieved a reply, but a diesel 400 Sundancer in nice condition does not last 13 years on the market.

it’s possible they deactivated the listing a while ago and then re activated it but I have seen that boat online since before I purchased mine.

**The more you know!**

Discussed with wife yesterday. Her take, she really doesn’t need AC anymore, we don’t spend much time in cabin & she said “all the upgrades and improvements we made for 2 years and now we got it where we want it and know everything about it do we really want to start over with an unknown just to eliminate canvas”. Especially since I just spent $1700 on new canvas. Smart woman, so I am stepping back for a little while to think about it.
+ a couple months from paid off.
