I haven’t splashed yet. I am thinking about pulling it out of the barn Saturday and getting it ready. I probably only need 2-3 hours and it will be cleaned up and all plugs reinstalled. Typically I avoid holiday weekends though due to amateur hour on the water but we’ll see.

Traveling around the upper bay, hitting as many tiki bars as possible.
EDIT: I see Small Craft Advisory for all day Saturday. So plans may change.
We have had SCA almost every day for over a week. This is worst spring ever, Still in mid 40s at wakeup every morning.

It's looking like outstanding weather for Memorial Day weekend around Michigan. I'll head to the boat this morning to wash off the bird crap and tree debris.....again. Then come back and get wife and MIL and let them organize the cabin and galley. I'll probably watch some of the qualifying while they are doing that. Sunday? There are 3 races to watch.
Holiday weekends I leave to you worker bees as far as doing much actual boating. We'll take off for late morning rides and get back to the marina before all you late risers get moving.
I much rather get out during the week days. Looks like even better weather Tuesday through Thursday next week.

Yep, maybe an early morning boat ride or two, but mostly catching up with dock neighbors and watching all the holiday only boaters heading out and then being towed back in. Weather is supposed to be spectacular. Best forecast I can remember for Memorial Day weekend.

We had our "May 2-4" weekend last weekend. It was a bit cool and boat isn't ready yet, so we just did a quick up adn back trip and didn't spend the weekend. I am going up this weekend solo to do some spring prep and clean up (at least as much as I can do now with my wrist - its been 6 weeks now so I can start to lift things. Have to figure out how to get my dinghy off the bow at the slip - an offer of a cold beer to my slip neighbor might do it).

Our weather here has been cool and sunny for the past two or three weeks. The warmup starts next week and we'll start to spend a lot more time staying aboard while our new lake house is being built nearby.

Minnesota gets its 4 nice days of the year this weekend, so we’ve got that going for us. Which is nice.

Well it's 35 degrees outside right now. I saw actual, real frost on the grass when I let the dog out. I shed a tear.

The weekend forecast looks great but the nights will be cold, the water will be cold, and so too shall the beer I suppose.

This is our first weekend on the boat this year. I don't think we've ever had a year where it's been this late. Both busy with life and absolute garbage spring weather have made for a strange start to 2023. Here's to hoping it's a great weekend!

Well glad all you Great Lakes and NE folks are getting good weather, probably deserve it after your winter. Here in NC, it's going to be a washout. Weather people call it a back door front, where a low pressure system moves off the Atlantic and get's stuck against the mountains. 100% rain Sat/Sun and highs in the 50's! That's January weather for us. I shouldn't complain too much, we generally have pretty good weather year around, but it does seem a lot of weekends are getting rain lately.
Ya'll have a good weekend -- I'll just think about those 70deg days in February when you guys are watching it snow!

Supposed to be beautiful for the next week in the Milwaukee area, 60’s today, upper 60’s on Sat, and near 75 on Sun, mid 70’s on Mon. All the boats at the club are in the water. Not sure if we will be taking the boat out, Lake Mich is still only about 50. 3037E603-83E1-4633-A6CF-97F8121C15D2.jpeg So that’s probably where we will be hangin out, firing up the barby, and drinking cold ones!

We are heading to the lake today, Supposed to be sunny and low 80s every day. Lake is still chilly, low 70s. Just me and the Admiral, which is a first for Memorial day in over 20 years. Probably hit the tiki bar.

Got to the boat around 10:00 this morning, nice and quiet. Still a little cool from the patchy frost overnight but warming fast, or that could be the Bloody Mary’s.
Here’s to a safe fun holiday for everyone.

Home, hanging by the pool, grilling, and chilling. Checking CSR every hour or so to see the pictures everyone posts about their holiday weekend.

We just got back from the boat last week, not returning for 3 or so weeks. Have to rely on everyone else for boating pictures.
