Official 370 Sundancer thread

Thanks 370 Dancer,
perfect timing. I was showing the Admiral these the other day( she didn’t know they were there)
she said she is going to do what you did.

Good morning all,
looking at the above electrical got me thinking about my own and wanted to throw this out to the collective.
My ice maker was long ago removed up in the cockpit. I’ve heard some talk of placing a fridge in its place. Any thoughts, comments or suggestion?
The original AC/DC fridge in the galley was removed and a college AC dorm fridge was put in its place. Wanted to get that back to original and looking at prices understand why someone took the cheap little Lowes route.
Discussing it with some dock mates last night, someone brought up that why go to all the expense of having combo fridge when it’s a whole lot cheaper to rig up an inverter that would accomplish the same objective.
Again, any thoughts or experience in this? TIA
We are under contract on a ‘98 370 and this is what the previous owner did. I’m happy there’s a fridge there instead of an ice maker, but we are going to have to figure out how to dress up their “handy work” in terms of the doors that were removed. If anyone has input on that, I’m all ears.

Looks to me like they were tired of opening the door that won't open all the way due to the helm, and must have put something on the left side that caused them to cut out the original opening. The right side was cut larger I'm sure to accommodate the Norcold fridge. Whatever you do will have to follow the existing cavity, or cut your own somewhat bigger. You will not have much luck finding that island piece intact on a 25 year old boat. Get creative!

Yeah. I would probably keep the fridge as is. Then try to rework the cabinet on the other side. Tighten up the joints , hide the hinge, etc.

Looks pretty gnarly. The prior owner was certainly a function over form kind of guy.

I'd probably finish the cut the other guy started, remove the top and center pieces and replace with a single piece of something of a different color. Matching whites will be hard. Maybe black or even a teak wood door? For not a lot of money this could definitely be improved.

Perhaps hinge the new door with the existing right side (inside) hinge. Fill/plug the holes the PO made with that existing left side hinge...

wonder what is behind that top left piece (the original door)? drawer? Wouldn't be much of one.
wonder what happened to the original doors.

Thanks for the reply! We were doing some brainstorming this morning... I think we may look into fashioning louvered teak sliding doors. Will have to wait until we have the boat in hand to get serious about it. I'll have to make sure the opening is "flat" across, and that there is actually room to get tracks on the top and bottom, while still looking like it "should" be there. For the life of me, I can't understand why they cut the opening on the left wider than it was. There's nothing but storage behind it.

Maybe moved the ice maker there, and then added the fridge.

This may have been covered somewhere in the past but wanted to get opinions on replacing the deck mounted spot light with something a little more modern. LED?
Current one rotates but can’t get bulbs to eliminate.
has anyone dismantled to wring out the wires?
Thanks in advance

Compounding and polishing in a few weeks so going ahead and replacing all the stripes and decals as well. How would you guys go about getting the black and gold curved part to the same radius? Assuming I'll have to find somebody custom to make that?
