Official 510 DA Owners Group

Has anyone replaced the fuel tank sending units? If yes, do you recall what the depth of the port/stbd/ tanks are?

Turned out previous owner disconnected a breaker and never hooked the "circuit" back together so had no power to the unit. Re connected it and came on and was blowing ice cold air in seconds, easy and in expensive fix.

My cockpit AC's breaker is listed as "Accessory" on the 240 panel.

If that isn't it, you may want to check the Pump Relay trigger in the engine room Marinaire control box.

As a last resort, maybe the actual control panel itself is shot. First try swapping it with a working panel. (Super easy, pop the cover, 4 screws and a plug). If it works with the swapped control, you found the issue. Here is the best place I have found to purchase a new control panel. (if you have the SMXII control)

some recent projects: swapped out the plastic caps on the windlass foot pedals for SS. replaced the plastic bow locker handles with SS. replaced the navigation light housings with SS. there is an amazing amount of white plastic attachments for a yacht that originally sold for over $1m! also removed the shiny gold letters from the transom door. trying to decide whether to leave it clean or replace it with updated badging.

The SS upgrades look great. I vote for leaving the transom door clean.

I did all the same last winter as well as the knobs and plates in the salon. Ended up doing the chrome SR logo on transom door.

Love it !

Did the same on my windlass pedals.

Could you kindly share the source of those nice SS nav light covers?

BEST !

Those Stainless cupholders are gorgeous! Did you make those or have someone make them/
I had them made locally. They add a nice touch over the dull white plastic factory ones. I can send along his company and name if you'd like. He has a company in Traverse City, MI.

The only challenge is that he will need your original plastic ones to use as the template. They are NOT interchangeable for whatever the reason Sea Ray had at that time.o_O

I have the 2000 510 and am in need of replacing the cabin fridge/freezer. Does anyone have any helpful hints on removing the cockpit door trim To get this thing out?
And can I just replace it with a Frigidaire apartment size model, the size fits, thank you in advance.

This has been a concern of mine ever since I bought the boat. I would assume you will have to remove the front doors off the fridge/freezer, and pehaps anything that is easily removable off the back of the unit. You may also want to see if someone can rebuild the current unit if it is in good shape....perhaps they could swap out the guts while the fridge is in the salon.

Thanks for the reply, I know this may turn into a nightmare job but I figure for a rebuild price or tech to come out it might be cheaper to buy a new one

I don't see how. The fridge is 24-1/2" wide approx. and the salon entry is only 22-1/2" wide. Even if you could get the wrapped trim off, it still won't fit. I like Aunights thought...see if it can be repaired in the salon if any type of matching parts would be available.

I’ll remeasure but fridge measured 24” and door frame is 25 with trim removed(if that’s possible)
I have called a few repair personnel and haven’t gotten any responses yet so just trying to be proactive

Winter storage and update time. I actually don't mind this time of the season. I get to do the little things to clean up the boat. Just swapped out the bow locker cam latches and transom locker latches to stainless as opposed to the 22 year old chalked white latches.
Something to do to spruce the old girl up a bit. :)

hey wolf - can you point me to where you found the latches you used for the transom locker?

This is an issue I've been dealing with all season. I've had a couple of different repair guys out but at this point, they think its the compressor.

The factory refrigerator is GE (23 3/8 wide): https://www.geappliances.com/applia...t-Top-Mount-No-Frost-Refrigerator-TBX12SAXLAD (also - VERY deep to get 12.1 cu ft)

If you go far enough back in the posts of this thread, there is a guy who replaced the factory GE with this: https://www.haierappliances.com/appliance/9-8-Cu-Ft-Top-Freezer-Refrigerator-HA10TG21SB (although I'm not sure how since it's 23.6 wide and the salon door opening is roughly 22.5)

I'm currently looking at this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Vissani-10-1-cu-ft-Top-Freezer-Refrigerator-in-Black-MDTF10BK/317371475 (only 21.5 inches wide)

I just went through this, I searched and found a replacement that would require taking the upholstery off of one side of the door opening. I took a sawzall and trimmed the old fridge to it would fit through the opening. The replacement fridge is a Haier 9.8-cu ft Model #HA10TG21SB. I am working with a local cabinet carpentry place to make new panels.View attachment 132159 Does anyone by chance have a lower fridge panel in maple?
Hey PlanB - Which side did you take the upholstery off of? And what was the process to get it off and back on again? Any guidance you can give on the steps you took would be super helpful.
