So, lets talk weather....

Setting record cold highs for today and tomorrow. Coldest first 2 days of May in 115 years (when the recording started). The UP is getting hammered with snow. They are guessing a couple of feet in the western end.
Global warming at its finest...Oh wait, it stopped warming so now it's "climate change".

And today, somebody somewhere is buying an overpriced Tesla so they can feel good about a reduced carbon footprint.

My friend in Houghton stored his boat at Green Bay this past winter. He was driving down to his boat this morning, went about 15 miles and had to turn back, wet heavy snow, bad roads.

My winter storage place called today. Basically said GTFO, need the space. So launching Friday morning. Be near 80 all next week, I think its time. Called my marina, asked if my new pier was ready(they been redoing pier and new electric) its ready and waiting for me.
Been playing with the black powder pistols almost every morning at the state park range (just got back after 4 hours today). Fun time over, got to bust butt get boat ready for Friday.

we had 90's in april, now in may we are cool and rainy. We were so dry, we need it so not complaining. Looks like Fathers day weekend will be our first chance to put the boat on the water. Problem is the last time the fgovernment had a shutdown, I think our lake was the first one they closed, corps of engineers lake.

Yay! Splash day. Boo! Cold. View attachment 144496

I splashed May 1st. It was much the same. Except add a little rain. It was great, Not !
But I scheduled that week off from my shop and it was not easy. So on top of that I lost 3 days down with a nasty sinus infection. Yay .

I agree with that statement. I just would like to not have to gear up just to walk the dog.

I admit I'm a cold/cool weather wuss.
Oh I hate it! Michigan weather can be so beautiful, and such a pain in the ass:/ I’m really trying to get over to Lake St Clair this season, that lake looks beautiful.

More rain in the desert today. My place in the mountains up north is getting hammered right now. Lake Mead went up another 5 feet. Trying my best to get the boat back in the water this weekend.
