So, lets talk weather....

Couple of counties west of us headed this way

We had a sloppy mess here . On top of the 6/8 inches we had from the weekend we got another 4 yesterday. Then this morning it is almost all gone. The river near me has been like a roller coaster.

Looking like Michigan is going to get hit with the Polar Vortex next week.
Yes - the Polar Vortex will arrive here as well. At least we’ll get some ice for fishing. Two weeks ago I could have launched my boat and put the dock out.

The first one is where I live in Washington, and the second one is where I'm at in the Phoenix, AZ area.
I'll stay here for a few more weeks.

.....and now the NFL is using weather to affect game outcomes. The fellas from Miami have to fly up to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in expected -9 temps. There is not time to change all the fluid viscosities in the whole team before they have to get on the plane. There is conspiracy afoot, I tell ya. ;)

Here's my imitation of a TV weatherman...

We're getting hammered by the storm moving through. Snow is falling like crazy and accumulating fast. No sign of it letting up soon. If you don't have to go somewhere, please shelter in place and stay until this blizzard moves on.

Now the real thing....

Yup, honey, it snowed about an inch last night but the sun is out and it's melting. ;)

My friend who is a weatherman explained it like this, the system warmed up and here in Northern Illinois they use formula of 13.5” of snow to 1” of water. It ended up being wet, heavy snow at 4” to 1”.

And the excuses begin....

My favorite was a few years ago when the DC area was expecting a huge snowstorm. Weather Channel sent Jim Cantore into the city to be in the thick of it as usual. They kept cutting to him for hours with his usual “it’s on its way” fear, uncertainty and doubt report. Then finally they cut to him suddenly standing in Front Royal where some light snow was falling with a dusting on the ground. The DC storm never materialized so he had to truck it 50 miles west into the mountains to save the story.

My ac froze up Sunday night from a hung up contactor. I didn’t notice because it had been running normally all day.

Not to disagree with your assessment, but rather to show how long this has been going on . . .

When Tampa finally got a franchise in '76, they put them in the NFC North. They lost 26 games straight before they stopped looking like a JV team. After they started winning, they were unable to win in less than 40 degree weather. I can tell you I wasn't the only one got tired of every talking head on TV trying to make an issue of this every time it was near 45 or less at kick-off. That went on for a long time before they disproved that theory.
I think it was the last game of 2002 against the Bears.

We had to listen that crap for 25 years!
Consequently, the Fish Heads will get no sympathy from me. Go Chefs ! ;)
