Was 45 deg this morning, had go marina so I put on socks first time since April 1st. Ripped them off half way to marina. Hate wearing socks.

Whereas I always wear socks with my boat shoes (which is all I wear nowadays), the below ankle kind.

Before I started on the Columbia slack tides I wore Topsiders and Docksiders with no socks since I was a teen. Then got out of the leather and into canvas. Feels better to me. I fish, so no barefoot on any boat to get finned or stuck.

College football on bar tvs so I know it’s Saturday. Tomorrow NFL means Sunday, then it all goes to hell for 5 days.

Did I tell you, Friday I walked in corner bar, thinking it’s Saturday, asked bartender why no games on. He says it’s Friday not Saturday. I need a pocket calendar?

I JUST gave up the flip flops here in NH. Killed me to do it. Back to socks and "shoes".
Slippers are great on board!

Croc's in adult sizes should be banned. I'm barely ok looking at people wearing slides. And during my years in Florida, the tourists were a dead give away wearing Jesus sandals. Don't get why they are popular in the north.

When I lived in Florida, the tourists give away was the family in new gym shoes. The word was that the mom would buy the family new shoes for the vacation, so that’s who the pick pockets looked for. Because if they were caught, they would not show for court (being from out of town) and the case would be thrown out… versus a local who probably would show up.

I love my crocs. I only wear them to walk to and from the boat and from the boat to the tiki bar. Drives my kids nuts, but they're comfortable and do the job. From April through October I wear sandals as much as possible. But I only wear Teva's and no strap between the toes. Not Jesus sandals. Crocs are a great separator of people.
