Well, I placed a deposit on new cockpit upholstery this afternoon. Going to change it up a bit but still keep it true to the mid 00s OEM vibe just in case i do decide to liquidate.

does anyone have a recommendation for a product to reattach the veneer on the edge of this panel? I stuck it back with some very thin double faced tape a few years back but it let go again. I think the table top scrapes it off sliding around

The shop says I could have them back by the end of the week if I drop them off tomorrow. I highly doubt that with Thanksgiving in the mix but we shall see.

Looks like I’ll be pulling the generator out of this thing to try and find out where the new oil leak is coming from. Oil in the bilge definitely pisses me off a little bit more than water in the bilge.

Once that’s fixed and the new interior is installed, it’s getting listed. Anybody have a broker they recommend in Southwest Florida?

I’m tired…

Guessing that didn't happen, since when we saw you
out yesterday, your cockpit was looking kind of holey. ;)

I will say that I hope those thoughts pass, as they have in the past.

Still, just in case, I will add that you probably should consider making that attempt here prior to involving a broker. You may have already sold it here and just don't realize it.
Never even heard of a broker that knows more about that boat than you do.

I know it well indeed, probably better than most know their boats. I don’t think those thoughts are going to pass this time. Even Mrs. Current sees that it never ends anymore and is losing that sentimental attachment. It’s just getting to be too much for the amount of time and energy I have.

I’m going to list it here as well, and probably marketplace and Craig’s too. I like the idea of a broker because it keeps tire kickers from wasting my limited downtime looking for free boat rides.

Anyone who looks here will see the history and all the upgrades and repairs. Not sure if that’s good or bad, but it shows it’s definitely been cared for.

A single Suzuki 350 with contra-rotating props or twin Yamahas appeals more and more. I still wanna stay in the 26-29 range for weight and comfort. Considering ordering something and optioning it out myself similar to my dancer for electronics and lighting

@Capap , the pics are gone after the hack, but did you want to know anything specific?

It’s going to be a great time trying to pull this thing out of the bilge to get it in my garage and on the operating table.

Hello, hope you got a lift of some sorts. o_O
I was able to grab the crank snout and alternator air discharge and curl it from a kinda half squat position in front of the motor. Getting it out is going to be rough even with help

Then over the gunwale onto the floater and up to the dock without it swimming

Once it’s in the garage, it’s getting the stainless steel drip pan and new motor mounts I’ve had on the shelf for a bit. Also new brushes and a slip ring cleaning, valve lash adjustment since it had about 700 hours since it was last done, and some touchup paint. Might recirculate some barnacle buster through the heat exchanger for a few hours as well. once that’s all done, I’m going to replace the leaking gasket where the catalytic converter attaches to the manifold.

And since I’m me and this is the way I do things, I’ll repaint the wooden platform that it sits on while it’s out. and probably get in where I can scrub some things I usually can’t get to

The seal looks like it melted, crazy how it failed.
After I ran a rag over it, it doesn’t look like it melted anymore. That was kind of the sludgy oil buildup. It’s the damnedest thing though it was fine and I did an oil change with the same oil I’ve been using for my hundred hour interval for the last 800 hours. I went from no known leakage to at least a cup in the pan after an hour. Wasn’t overfilled or anything just failed all at once.
