WARRANTY! If anyone ever asked if Sea Ray backs their product the answer is definitley YES, and here is the proof. In 1992 I purchased a brand new Ski Ray model SK190 closed bow inboard tournament ski boat. After the first year cracks appeared on the forward deck where you step out to the bow. Having owned SeaRay boats before I had never seen stress cracks on any Sea Ray. The dealer ground them out and filled them at no charge. New cracks appeared again the following season. Since this is highly unusual the dealer fixed them again, at no charge. Fast forward to 1996. Stress cracks had re-appeared so the dealer took the boat into storage and a factory rep came out to inspect the deck and hull. To my amazement the boat was shipped back to the production facility in Arizona (I live in new Hampshire). Having determined a dry resin issue when the boat was cast they removed the entire interior, drivetrain, windshield, and accessories, and then CRUSHED the deck and hull. They re-cast an entire new boat embossed with the ORIGINAL hull numbers, re-assembled everything, and I was back in the water in the spring of 1997. The factory apologized for any inconvenience and the dealer threw in a new battery at no charge with their apologies too. 2011: the boat still runs great and there are no signs of cracks anywhere (see attached PIC). If you are in the market for a new boat I would highly recommend a Sea Ray. Who else would back their boat like this???? Sincerely, a very satisfied customer!
