Then do something about it. Here is your chance to really make a difference and possibly save some lives, possibly your wife's life. Make the authorities listen and take notice. Get other teachers and parents involved and and make a group complaint. Start a petition and give that to authorities every day you wait is another day closer to the inevitable.

If the situation involved a private employer wouldn't the employer be responsible to provide a safe work environment?
 
Thing is she loves teaching, she’s got 25 years in already just with this current system. The PRO is off this week and some of next but he comes down to the marina on weekends. I plan to sit with him and discuss this situation. Except for being a bug in the soup all the things everyone has suggested are already being done. It’s just not moving this kid out and into a more secure place, yet.

My wife is also a teacher and has seen similar behavior but not quite to this extent. Administration doesn't want to do anything. They have a regular city police officer in the building all day and things still aren't processed through the system. They had a kid stab another kid in the neck with a fork a few years ago. The kid walked to the nurse with the fork sticking out of his neck. The kid that did it got 1 day out of school suspension and the police were never involved because the kid had an IEP so the school didn't want to get involved.

Also just heard last week on the news that Pittsburgh police patrol the city schools but the democratic led school board refuses to let them carry their firearms. They had a shooting outside the school (students) last year and the police inside had to respond with no weapons. Just about a week or so ago they had another shooting and a few officers were hurt trying to diffuse it as they are not allowed to use any of their 'tools'. They were saying how officers were quitting and they couldn't get any of them to work the schools. Wonder why?

Hope something is done with this kid before it's too late. My wife has heard a few students say they were going to kill someone at the school. Nothing is ever done.

Unfortunately if nothing is done we wonder why all the school shootings. They all have the same pattern, yet nothing is done. Our leaders are worthless.

Hmm. I don't think "leaders" are obligated to raise good humans from birth. They just have to deal with the aftermath...

Not sure what that means. But if you have a kid making threats and fail to act, don’t be surprised if you’re the next school on the nightly news.
 
I would also have a criminal lawyer write a letter to the school officials, the entire school board, and to the local and state government officials. I would put a spotlight on this so hot it would burn reputations of these politicians if they did nothing. Next, I would have this reported to the local and national media. It would get addressed before we see another mass shooting on the news.

Agreed, agreed. I was just commenting on "worthless leaders". They didn't create the problem. They're just left to deal with it...without the necessary resources, without support from parents or the community and in a world of litigious parents just waiting for Johnny's rights to be violated by an overzealous but well intentioned administrator :)
 
What would I do? First, my wife resigns, no questions asked, just resign; today. There are way too many open teacher jobs to have to deal with this. 2nd maybe even 1st, call the police, report this. 3rd and maybe first, get a gun to protect your family in your home. This kid probably already knows where you live. 4th - get off ALL social media immediately.
 
I know this isn't really a boat topic and I understand that but if someone ever threatened my wife there would be a big big problem and I don't care who reads this who knows who I am who whatever there would be a big issue

Boatman, thank you. It’s very hard to explain how the current school systems work.

Wife went in at 6am and is still not home. She said on her way out that the kid would most likely be laying in the middle of the road blocking the drop off area. She text me around 10am saying that is exactly what he did.

He got two day suspension, today and Monday for his threats

Only media I’m on is CSR
 
Dude I would be camping outside that kids house and following him every second of every day, he is going to snap, just a matter
Of when. How much vacation you got?
 
I would give my life to protect my wife's is what I'm saying and hopefully this comes to a peaceful ending
 
I briefly dated a woman many years ago who thought she was being stalked by her ex-husband. She kept seeing him around town, and was convinced he was coming into her home. She had motion sensitive cameras installed throughout her home and sure enough he was. Long story made short it ended up in trial I had to testify and he did some jail time.

Months later I saw where she did a story on our local news to change the stalking laws. From what I heard that story got a lot of attention and change, that's why I suggested that to you.

Fast forward 5 years, I'm playing tennis with a new group of guys, small talk over beers one night, figure out one of the guys was the husband's best friend.

He has already threatened to come to the school and kill two of his teachers. They took out restraining orders on him. Courts put him on a probation sentence of 6 months and sent him back to the school. Today he told two other kids and my wife he plans to bring a gun and shoot the vice principal. He told the kid next to him he was going to cut him up and shove the knife down his throat. This kid is a prime case of how the school systems lack of movement. He’s actions to me fall under the new Red Flag law. He could easily walk home and the staff would let him back in.

I hate the new law and see it as a way to get someone’s guns but in this case I do believe it would be the right thing to do.

She is doing all she can to document his actions but until gets thrown out again. He is allowed and required to attend school.

I still have a few friends on the PD here and I’m thinking of taking this to one of them.

What would you do or suggest

report to the police as that is totally a terrorist threat if they do nothing FBI

I like this idea in addition to calling the police . This needs attention.
