Lately there are more and more car companies jumping on the EV bandwagon. This includes a few foreign auto makers as well as Tesla.

These companies do not have dealerships in the US. So when your EV needs a repair, or even an oil change, transmission flush, who ya gonna take it to?

Drive your Tesla or your Xpeng to a Chebby dealer and they're gonna laugh at you. So where ya gonna go for repairs and maintenance?

And what about Chile, Argentina, Brazil - some of the top counties that mine and produce Lithium. The environmental folks are already screaming about the disruption/destruction to the land.

Looks to me like Tesla's got ya covered @Gofirstclass :

It may also be worth noting that EV's don't require oil changes or transmission flushes. They have no oil in those places :)

Last night wife and I watching tv, Jeep commercial comes on, out in the freaking no mans land desert (as Jeep commercials do) and it’s for the Jeep EV.
Now, follow along. In the desert…. Not a town for a hundred miles… an electric Jeep…
Are… You… Farking…Kidding.. Me!!!
People believe this sh!t!!!
Wife says oh ya there’s gonna be charging stations.
And before you say there are no gas stations either. I can go 450 miles on gas, and a lot more carrying gas cans. In the desert. You (general term, not You reading this) are not carrying extra batteries.

It's worth asking....which desert? :)

I'm just curious to know where the greenies think the electricity for charging stations comes from. In The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia, we can barely keep the lights on, and what we do have is still ~66% non-renewable.

If I can't get parts at Autozone, Rockauto or Amazon -- I'm basically screwed.

I thought it was bad when I had Italian cars ...... now I'm into boats

Nobody. Nobody. And I mean NOBODY ever did it better! Jim Ignatowski! Just the best.
Dam, they don’t make comedy like that any more!!!
I still laugh whenever I see that!!!
As I write this I am laughing and wife looking at me like I am nuts. Serious!!!
SLOW DOWN !!!!
Ok! Both wife and I got tears flowing watching it on YouTube.

Stee, See those little icons near the bottom center? That's where I live. The nearest Tesla service center is 175 miles away, on the other side of Spokane.

That would be like you driving to Cheboygan for service. Not likely

Our gubberner has passed laws in WA that mirror Kalifornika's laws so I figure I'm going to buy a hybrid car just before his ridiculous laws take effect. If I drive it carefully I figure it would be good for 200K clicks on the odo. Then I'll buy another in Idaho. They're smart enough not to stick the state's head up Newsom's butt so they will likely have hybrid's for years to come.

If Idahoans can come to WA for abortions we can go to Idaho for sensible cars.

There is charging stations all over in the deserts. How do you think all of those voting machines are going to work?

I still carry extra fuel when I venture out. Walk 28 miles to the pavement one time and that is all it takes.

EVs don’t have engine oil nor conventional radiators or multi gear trannys.

Fixed Ops in Dealerships are gonna take a big hit. So will sales if manufacturers go directly to consumers like Rivian etc.
