Put it in convection mode, turn the vent fan on, and go outside and feel the air coming out.....never had a problem, but always ran the ran.

Thanks for all the microwave suggestions!!! Now I am asking about a different issue. My horn is not working and the breaker in the bilge is tripped. See photo. What do I do? Replace breaker switch? Or what?

The breaker is for the air compressor for the horns. Trip it on and you should hear the compressor start up. It should build pressure and shut off. The compressor and tank are mounted on the starboard side of the swim platform. The fittings on the air tank are plastic and disintegrate over time. Likely leaking causing the compressor to run a lot and could be that PO tripped it. Check that out first.

So much content on this thread. i can get information overload. Just purchased the stern thruster to install this spring. All new canvas ordered, spending way too much money,, but it is a boat so no surprise there.. I am putting together a list for the rest of my projects and sets of spare parts I want to keep on board. Looking to replace the zincs in the engines (480ce) this spring. Also going to do the aftercoolers , fresh water with 700 hours on them. Would like to find a set of spare impellers as well. Whats the best place to get the parts? Previous owner had the engines and genny impellers oil, trans and fuel fluids and filters replaced at 650 hours so I'm not planning to do them yet but want a spare. Also should I be thinking about changing coolant filter or additives to the coolant?
I know lots of questions but its too cold to go boating on Lake Michigan right now so I have lots of time to think

Do any of you know the size of the transom mounted zinc? I'm replacing all zincs while hauled out for bottom job next week and want to order ahead.
Also, thoughts on going aluminum on all the underwater anodes? Boat will live primarily in about 98% freshwater, and travel into brackish or salt water throughout the year for short periods.
Thanks

Thanks for that one. When I hit the horn all I hear is a click from under the arch. Haven’t dug into that one yet.

If you remove the inspection panel under the arch, you will find a tube that carries air from the tank to the Kahlenberg horns. The tube passes through a solenoid valve and then to the horns. The click you are hearing is the solenoid valve opening and closing when you push the button. The air compressor has to run to charge the tank and then shut off once it reaches the pressure setting. You push the button, the horn blows, and the compressor recharges the tank. The compressor and tank are mounted in a god awful place to access and are often never touched.....good luck.

Thanks Bennett, I saw the compressor and wasn’t sure what it was for. I guess it has power to compressor when battery switches are on ? Now is the time to fix it, my new generator isn’t installed yet.

Can anyone tell me the procedure to remove the sliding glass door to the Salon, and then replace the wheels? Are they using special wheels?
Thanks

I use "divers dream" size. I've always used zinc (Chesapeake Bay), but more envrio friendly folks are starting to use Aluminum, especially in more fresh water. But do your research. However, either are less noble than anything on your running gear.

On the aluminum, my boat will primarily live in fresh water and my research shows aluminum to be more effective in fresh.
Thanks

I can't find it on here, what size sheets is everyone using for the beds in our 420's?

Also on the 2005 I’m looking at I will need to replace some of the drawer and door push to lock/pop out pull to open round knobs with oval faceplates. Anyone know a good source for those and can the ones that are not staying in when trying to lock be repaired to stay latched?
Same FP has them
