Question: How many feet of chain do you all have on your anchor? This boat only has what looks like 25 feet. Seems odd for a 50 ft boat to me....

interesting... I wonder if that would allow the Lumitec led to switch colors though? The are not RGB but they require a on/off cycle to switch.
Good question - I suspect you would require a separate switch as shown in the Blue Sea schematic for their dimmer to switch the colors. The dimmer may completely turn off current which would allow the switching of the colors but I don't know. As I think about it - The Pulse Code Modulation that modern dimmers use and LED devices must have, actually switches on and off the current rapidly maintaining constant voltage while varying the time that current stays on (Pulse) so inherently it may not be compatible with multi-color LED systems that require switching to change colors. This would be a great question for Lumitec.

I’ve got mine marked at 25’ increments to 200’. I stopped there but there’s more in there.

all that is chain? I didn't think that windless could lift that much straight up.

I measured and marked mine - 250' all chain and the windlass handles it fine. It doesn't have to lift it all, just from the bottom to the windlass - so for me, usually no more than 30'.

well I guess I got screwed... last captain mush have lost his and replaced it with the cheap kit from west marine... Guess I will go get a couple hundred feet of chain. Thanks for the quick responses

So wifey was on me about fridge opening too far and driving her crazy. Came up with this from Amazon and it seems to work. Ordered another for the freezer. Happy wife, happy life

A big thanks to @ocgrant for being available to answer questions. I finally got my lights working properly. Much to my surprise, after bypassing my dimmer, I can still control the brightness and the colors run through a full spectrum allowing me to chose any color I wish by toggling the switch as it’s at my desired color. Lights are Lumitec Mirage.

Glad to help. They look great! Next is LED speakers... doing mine this weekend.

Last week I tried turning up my stereo when a great song came on and it sounded like crap... So the problem with all this time on my hads is not the Corona Virus but Amazon & Ebay!!! I keep finding deals on crap I want....Friday and Saturday I completed phases 1&2 of my stereo upgrade. Phase 1 was to replace all the speakers and subwoofer (already dead when I bought the boat) with new Kicker speakers and I decided to opt for the LED's since I never had anything like that before and thought "what the hell" the kids will like it. Wifey helped me pull new RGB wire to all the speakers and got them all installed on Friday thinking that should have solved my issue for now. Turned up the volume and it still sounded like crap, all distorted. Well on to phase 2 replace the stock amplifier with a 5ch Kicker (need extra 2 channels for phase 3). Did that and fixed my issue now my stereo rocks and looks great. Actually really like the LED's in the speakers. Next is phase 3 for next week when parts arrive. Today taking the family out in the boat to run in the ocean as it is finally a lake out there and need to get out and get some fresh air. Probably heading north to Pompano and avoiding Miami this time. Hoping to tie off on a mooring ball and do some snorkeling to unwind from all this crap going on...

While doing my install came accross this block of wires that appear to not be used. Any body have any ideas what these were for?

Anyone have any tips how to raise my salon table? The brand is Garelick and has a lever or pull in the middle with 2 of these on each side. . I never tried adjusting it last year and tried today and it barely moves after I loosen the clamps.

You have to loosen the handle and then there is a push or pull knob it then should move up and down. Mine will spring up to it's highest point. Once you found the position where you want it you need to tight the handles again.

Do you know if you push or pull the knob? Unfortunately I think it may not be working properly.

I had the same problem and found the cables had been stretched or were too long to release the hold so I had to replace them.
