What is the latest on the email notification. Still not getting mine on hotmail. I saw a post that said hotmail should be ok, do we have to wait a couple days for it to clear.

I dont know if this helps (still not getting email notifications), but when I post, during the redirection (while server is posting I guess?) this is the message across the top of the screen that flashes, and I see it says something about "mail" in it:

Still not getting email messages on threads, I have also recieved 2 PM's and did not get notification on them either.

I can reccomend for now that everyone uses a differnt email service for the time being.

Morph, Capt_Jack volunteers a lot of time to keep this forum running well. The most important thing is that it works fast has great uptime. Aside from a hiccup up here and there we can all pretty much depend on the site working. Email notifications are somewhere down the list of priority things to fix. The people who seem to gripe the most about it are people that seem to have lots of posts and are logged in the most, so I'm not sure why they would even need notifications. I log in at least once a day so I have no notifications turned on. So Capt_Jack is getting to this particular problem as time permits. He has pinpointed it down to the domain name being blacklisted from certain servers - probably because of all the email notifications that get sent out and look like spam! :grin: I think when Capt_Jack said to use a different email provider he was serious, most web savvy people that would even know to visit forums like this would most likely have a few different email addresses. For instance, I have emails from about 8 different domains, plus gmail, yahoo, hotmail, and aim. Its pretty simple to switch to a different email provider while this problem shakes out if you feel you are missing out on email notifications. Hope that helps to clear it up - it was not a joke.
