NW Inland Freshwater Rendezvous????

Just in case anybody is wondering, I'm snoozing on the left in the attached picture and so is my boat. My wife is a much light complexion on the right. View attachment 116581

There is so much the smart ass in me wants to say. But I will hold back due to the fact, you have yet to meet me in person................yet!:rolleyes::D:D:D

Many moons ago I took my 20' open bow Reinell to Stehekin from 25 mile campground. Great trip uplake, horrific trip back down. Waves over the bow (I wish I had a piece of plywood to fasten over the bow) and bouncing like crazy. Almost ran out of gas before we got back, but fortunately we made it.

I stayed at that same dock you did. Wonderful place to camp!

Sundancer is being a smartass. lol After reading what I wrote, and his response, I laughed pretty good.
That's some funny stuff right there Jim.

The key is to leave as early as possible, that way the chance of winds is less.
We took a 20' cuddy there twice, and the water was like glass.
We love it back there, one of our favorite places.
I like the placement of the plywood over the bow comment. What a wacky thread that one is.

Yeah, I did a bone head move up there. The Lady of the Lake was at Stehekin on the morning we were going to depart. Like a dumb sh!t, rather than tuck in behind her and follow in her wake, we stood on the shore and waved goodbye.

On another trip up there we were staying at the condos at Wapato Point with some friends. The guys (3 of us) took the boat into town to meet the girls for dinner. When it was time to return it was blacker than the inside of a doctor's bag. The girls went back in the car, the guys took the boat back.

It was soooooo dark we couldn't see squat. I turned our nav lights off to stop the reflection of the dash lights on the windshield. Fortunately there were no other boats out that night. (Hmmm, that might have signified that we were the only ones dumb enough to be out there. )

Final revision. Only took two weeks to get it done. I think next time, I'll just give a bill for room and board and see if I can get it done faster.

What is the thoughts? This should suffice the powers that be as it's not anything like the branded but still looks great.

The "sundancer" will be a different color from the "Pacific Northwest" and "owners".

I will be sending it in for digitizing on Monday morning and should have it back by Wednesday morning.

Thoughts?

I like that blue and gold thinking it will stand out on a gray shirt. Anybody else?

I was thinking a Goldenrod for the compass. A medium dark blue for the wording and red for the Sundancer and light blue for the waves. Same colors as in my new attached design.20211208_143524.jpg

I'm with Mike on that. The "Sundancer" could remain the same color as the other text.

I will have it done so I can use any color someone wanted. So if someone wanted the "sundancer" to match your boat color, or any color, it can be done that way. What about the waves in another color than the compass? I guess it doesn't really matter as the branded logo has them the same color as the sun.

Got the fixture on and adjusted. Thought you guys might was to see a test on a hat. This is only a test. I did a large job for the local volunteer fire dept and have some left over hats from that.

Boaters have been known to do nice things for each other. This would be one of those things.

I've never heard such nonsense. LOL

Merry Christmas to all following this thread.

Anybody need a "work hat"? You know, for mowing the yard or washing your boat or anything where you don't care what happens or how dirty it gets? Well I don't care for the stock I have on hand because I don't care for the style and they are about 5 or 8 years old now and are dusty and not good for anything but working in them.

So I have two Navy Blue hats and one Firefighter Red hat that I will give away. They all have the PNW SunDancer Owners logo on them. But there is a catch. To win these hats mailed out USPS Priority Mail on Monday morning, you have to post a photo of your boat, last summer, during sunset. The first person to do so will need to send me a PM with your address.

Merry Christmas all. And I pray everybody can get away from those family members that drive you batcrap crazy, before we have to start go fund me accounts to get you bailed out.

You can just mail a blue cap with my shirts! I don't need it THAT fast! LOL!!! I could use a spare cap for in the bilge and oil changes. Might be too nice for that though? We'll see!!

Thanks John!!

Well, Mr. Jim only wants one. So the next poster with a photo as described above will get the one Navy Blue and the one Fire Red hat.

No can do. As much as I'd like that blue hat, my boat hasn't been in the water long enough to see the sunset. However, here's a panorama of a recent sunrise (the bane/benefit of still being a working stiff).

No, I'm not trying to play on your sympathies (as far as you know).
