How was the job of setting it all up? What are the fox gateways?

Having a problem with my Hatch door lower track I am not sure if I am missing screws or it is supposed to be glued into the lower track. The door moves ok but the lower track is not affixed to the door . Is this normal? Does anyone have pictures of the hardware or where i can get a breakout diagram of what is supposed to be there? Also the molding around the hatch seems to be peeling it is a U shaped molding with black rubber and chrome any suggestions on where to find replacement?

fox marine gateways will take the info from computer of your engines and put it on a nmea2000 network. Then You tie that into a nmea2k compatible mfd to be able to see it. I would say it takes 2-4 hours to install that and the network including adding the oil pressure sensors

For the older engines like mine, I had to call Mercruiser to find out which computer it had. I gave them the serial number and within a min or 2. He came back with MEFI-3

your will be different with the 8.1’s. A lot more info

Hi folks. 2001 sundancer 380. What a total pain it is to reach the holding tank air filter. Only my 14 year old can get to it. Anyone who has done something about it? Any extensions so it’s not hiding so far back?

Not trying to be funny but did you remove the deck panel on the port side of the engine hatch. I was having a hell of a time getting to the floats and my buddy says: "Why don't we take this hatch cover up"? Duh...

I was reaching over the Port engine...we removed the hatch and could get right to it. The lock dogs are maybe hidden under the carpet. BTW, he let me do all the cleaning of the incorrect TP off of the floats...

I think the air filter is right on top.

    Let us know!

I wish it was that simple! Yes, I removed the entire floor but that port engine is so close to the wall that I can’t lower myself enough to fit both arms and reach the filter. My daughter could barely get in there, but managed to get it.

Gottcha! I recently did a bunch of work on the battery area forward of that and there is only one way to fold myself in there.

Next up is replacing the raw water pump on the generator...basically have to lay on the aluminum strut with one foot on the top of the Starboard engine and the other on the area just aft of the fuel tank.

I am going to use an old back packing closed cell pad to keep the strut from digging into my front...

Would it help to remove the aluminum support and maybe the starboard motor, starboard exhaust hose.... a little extra disassembly on the from end may help.

    prayers for you!

Looking at buying a 380, but also looking at older 370s, 360s and 340s.

Would anyone be willing to share what they paid for their boat and when, including basic stats like fresh/salt water, hours etc?

Trying to figure out depreciation expectation for the next 3-5 years of ownership. Thanks!

I have been back and forth on 340/380, of course money, operating etc comes into play
But I would love a test run/trial/ boat ride if that is even possible, of course I would pay for costs of the favor... any suggestions or ideas

    Thanks in advance
I am in North Ft Myers but will travel within reason.

If you were close to me, i would give you a ride for free, we have 2-340's and 2-380's on our dock

I started out looking for 340's, then when i went to look at one, i had to walk by a 380 to look at it. SOLD!

If you can afford the extra 25k or so def worth it.
Separate shower, extra room in the engine room, wider walk to the foredeck... salon is very spacious, larger fridge/freezer...
