Stuck on the trailer in Vermilion currently! Picked up new coil from Napa going to install tomorrow morning and trailer over to the Huron River and see if things start working again. Lake has been gorgeous every evening. We’ve been out once on Monday and ended up getting towed back to the docks.

New coil went in today. Ran at the launch today. Started right up ran at the dock in various RPM’s for about 15 - 20 mins. Storm started to blow in so yanked it out and going to try a lake run tomorrow to see what shakes down. Hopefully that’s it.

Best of luck on your reboot. If you still do have problems, (no jinx intended) a simple test light will help you immensely as to DYI ignition system diagnosis. Good power on the hot/red side of the coil and a flashing light on the signal side while cranking will verify primary ignition function, at which point you should have good spark from both the coil wire and spark plug wires.

Had a good day today.... good rain storm .. then the monument people offered a wine and cheese and free ride up the tower looking to raise money. It worked my wife gave them a bunch when I wasn’t looking. Most expensive cheese and elevator ride I have ever had
Not many people so that was nice.... great view.... red arrow shows our spot
Then to the round house with a bunch of good friends..... fitting last day for the two of us ending a great vacation.
Still have my grandson coming on Friday so that will be cool first time my son has been up to the boat this summer

An ironic add on to Milliken. They named a marina deep in the city of Detroit after him. Governor Milliken was from Traverse City, where they could’ve named the marina after him. He and his family spent summers at his Mackinac Island cottage. Mackinac Island is also where he, his wife, and daughter are buried - and they could also name that marina after him. But downtown Detroit? How did that happen?

So we made it out of the Ford YC and into the Detroit river….beautiful day…. No freighters and no boats really…for a Saturday seemed a bit strange.

The new bridge going across the river is started….both American and Canadian side has started. Don’t see that everyday

Then came across Scout….this became an internet trending thing since it stopped at Put in Bay for a couple days as it continued on through the Great Lakes… Basically it’s about a dead dog….a statue of the dog is on the bow in gold if you blowup the pic…boat is named after the dog…must have been quite the dog.

I just saw Scout running East through the Cape Cod Canal probably trying to get some distance between it and Hurricane Henri
