Just now I got a warning from google that this site might contain Malware!!! I googled search for Club SeaRay and selected the site from there (just to make sure I was not phised) and again same message!!!! :smt100
Thanks I've already emailed Jim about the problem. Hope his IT guy can check it out and remove the bug.Sombody has hacked the system and loaded a link to the the AVsuite virus.
I've been trying to log in using Safari on my Mac and it shows me the warning, I "ignore" and it just pushes me to Google home page! I have to open Firefox, and everything is fine....I don't get it!
Hmm -- that's interesting. I get the same warning on Safari, and when I "ignore warning", I just get a popup box asking if I'm sure I want to go to the site. Clicking "continue" gets me to the site.
I have been infected 3 times this week by the "AV Security" Malware, I had to clean it out each time because it took over my computer. It always happend when I logged in to Club Sea Ray, not any other site....
Trend Officescan keeps warning and blocking the following URL from CSR on my system. I think it is associated with one of the advertisement links, but I have no idea which one. I added the pair of leading "xx"s in 2 places to prevent it from showing as a link. xxhttp://bid.openx.net/json?c=OXM_29219850408,xxhttp://clubsearay.com/forum/search.php?searchid=2696842&photoplog_searchinfo=1
I didn't get the warning, but got the virus. Spent an hour trying to clean it after it hijacked the computer.
Its been going on for about a week. We had it cleaned off but it pops right back on. Its a script that pops up just on the home page and not the actual forum. So if you bookmark this page you will not see it - http://clubsearay.com/forum/index.php If you go directly to www.ClubSeaRay.com and are on google chrome and maybe some others you will see it and have to click through it. I've had the server owner, a CSR member and the company that maintains the software check into it and it wasn't any high alert thing that we had to jump on, however we are working to clean it up. Looks like a couple of people have reported getting a virus. I'm sorry about that and hope it wasn't associated with your visit to CSR. I access the site from 3 different computers, none of which have any anti-virus software, and all on different versions of windows and have not seen anything that resembles a virus coming from csr. Neither has the programmer or Server co. I am going to delete the home page software anyway, nobody ever wanted to participate to write content for it anyway, and this should make the problem go away.
Norton is still showing this site as "Caution" 2 computer threats found. . Can you E-mail me when this thing is fixed. Until then adios
Bridog, see above and use that link. The home page and the forum software are 2 different programs. Its just the home page stuff that is screwed up.
When Google's robot crawls a website in order to index it for searching, they also recognize links to malware sites, which they also crawl. Google provides a facility where a browser can validate a website before it downloads from that site. The facility reports on things such as viruses, malware, and fraudulent activities. Browsers that perform this query and report the results include Safari (both the windows and Mac OS versions) and Google's own Chrome browser.
