My boat has too much power

I want to complain that my boat has too much power. I get to my destination too fast, preventing me from enjoying the journey. Everything is all blurry. It accelerates out of the hole so fast that I frequently lose my Sea Ray hats, get a crick in my neck, and it causes some discomfort as my body presses into the seat. The engines are too loud and eat so much gas. What were the designers thinking when they chose these engines for this hull? I don't need to pull a barge or 2 pyramids of skiiers. I don't participate in the National Drag Boat Association competitions.

Then try running on only one engine - half the speed half the gas.:smt043

Please.....don't complain about the fuel woes!! Al Gore has threatened to have me arrested at the fuel dock!!

Anyways, I've always heard that the 330s/340s were the "Sports cars" of the Sea Ray lineup....?? Didn't your sales person explain this to you when you purchased your boat? You should have told him you wanted a "slow boat to China" version in the Sea Ray line..

You should have 2 sticks on the right that can be adjusted.

Got him. And the first response too. This is more fun than fishing.

Got him?

Got him doing what? Making a joke response to your joke post?

Are you outting me as being a white male heterosexual?

I have a pair of oars from 1970 in almost great repairable used condition with uneven oar locks that you can insert into the rod holders. If you use a circular arm movement, holding the oar handles, at approximaely 32 RPM (rotations per minute) then you would have enough power for trolling or a "slow cruise".... heaven help ya if you are going against the current or run out of Red Bull Fuel. At least yoru gasoline cost is NULL.

Read a post, made a prediction, set the trap, and you took the bait. Just having a little fun entertaining myself on this rainy cold Sunday. Cause and effect. Like a kid pressing a button to make something happen. Thanks for being such a good sport about it.

No sweat.

I have prodded Gary similarly in the past.

Only if he tickles you first.

Dang. We ALL need to get out on our boats. I live too far from West Marine to even go window shopping. I think I need to go to the garage and check out the waxing gear.

Wait..is it Sunday? I took too much pain meds again and totally slept through Saturday I guess, dang, I had some big plans for Sat. too.

Got you too. You are too detail oriented.

Isn't there a country song about there's no such thing as too much money or a girl too good looking or a car (boat) that's too fast??
I love my boat but my last one sure was fast with those Bravo III's, That's a nice setup you have

Which is why I always snicker when people say a 280 with T-4.3's is plenty fast enough. The 280DA is significantly heavier than my 280SS.

JV II, I use to say that about my Z06 but now feels slow so I'm sure the 496 MAGS will also do that after a 2-3 seasons. Enjoy the thrill!

Wait a minute......are you guys talking about the new 330DA which is the same size as my really old 300DA which was replaced by the fairly old 310DA, now called a 330DA? Or is it the fairly new 330DA which replaced the 320DA which is now called the new 350DA?

When I first saw the new 330 in the show room, with 8.1's, I really thought that it had too much power, if there is such a thing, and in a cruiser, there is. Just crawl into the ER to see. On the other hand, I've learned that there's only 1 word to describe a cruiser with room to move around in the ER - underpowered. Doesn't apply to diesels, usually.
