I have been an active participant on this forum as well as the old SRO forum for the last 10+ years. I have gotten to know many of you over the years and you have been a big help to me during that time frame with the three different Sea Rays I have owned. Unfortunately, the time has come for me to get out of Boating mainly because of my health. I have sold my 260DA and the new owner comes tomorrow to sign the final papers. Then the boat will be headed off to Tennessee. I loved my 260DA and I hated to part with it but sometimes you just have to face reality.

I will still hang around here and check in every so often. And you can still PM me if you have questions I can help with you with. I know it will be very hard not having a boat so I will hold open the option of getting something smaller that would take less care but for now I am going to try and go without a boat this summer and see how I do.

Sorry to see you have to sell your boat Dave. But I do hope you get better and then we get to read your boat search thread in a year!

Stay well.

Mark

best of luck Dave in what ever direction life takes you next....

A classier guy has not been found. You, my friend, are a class act and a great guy. Even though we never met it seems like I'm losing a friend. I was with you on the original SROC forum back in the days. 10 years? Wow! I will miss you. You have helped many many people with your posts so I sincerely hope you continue contributing even if you don't have a boat now. I too have not been as active as I used to because I've focused more on long term retirement planning than short term fun. I do, however, miss the boat. I'm sure the both of us will be back into it before long. I know I'm already looking.;) Take care and stay healthy! We need you! Brian

That's sad news..... Hopefully your boating memories will still put a smile on your face every now and then!

Dave, sorry to see you go but thanks for all of the help you have provided for all of us over the years. I hope your health improves and stop by and check in occasionally.

Dave, sorry to hear of your health issues and am sad that is has been the impetus for you to be "boatless". I am one of the many that you have provided invaluable information to. My first powerboat was an '05 260DA and your many posts helped me learn the boat inside and out. I still have my cheat-sheet of info where I just cut and pasted many of your posts into one document for future reference. Thank you for that... if you're ever in the Annapolis area, drop me a line, I've parted ways with my 260, but the 330 and I would love to have you out on the bay!

Thanks for all of your help over the years Dave and it was great being on your dock as well. Take care! Maybe we can get together some time! I know the new owner of your boat will be proud to have her!

Dave, a simple thank you a best wishes for you in the future. You have been a valuable member here and hopefully you still have interest to join us for all the fun and camaraderie.

Sad to see you go, good luck with your health.

Dave,

Thanks for being the "go to guy" on the 260. Whenever I needed advice you were always the first to answer with sage sound advice.

While its a bummer your getting out of boating I'm glad you'll be sticking around here.

Saying goodbye only to boat ownership... for now!

I hope your health improves and you find something else easier to maintain!

Keep Calm, Sea Ray On!

Wish you well with your health and that it will allow you to get into something easier to maintain!
next best thing to owning a boat is to have a friend who does and I sure you have many.

Dave, you have been a great contributor all the way back to the old SRO days, and I have always appreciated your help to all of us. I pray your health improves and wish you to know that I, and many others here, thank you for all of your help and inspiration.

Dave my friend sorry to hear about your health issues. Thank you for all your information over the years.
Chuck.

Dave,

Nice meeting you so many years ago. When you are up to it, go buy back your 240SD. Keep in mind that you may have to pay a premium for her. Afterall, you did have the world's fastest, 5 liter Sundeck!

Take care.

Thank you for your invaluable contributions over the years and best of luck on the next chapters of your life. Hope to hear about you floating again one these days.

Best of luck to you Dave!! You should be proud of the many SRO's you have assisted.
