Slip Rates

First let me say the amount you spend on service has nothing to do with the rate of a slip. Being based in Cape May your rate looks reasonable to me. Dockage fees are high in NJ. The closer you are to New York, the higher they get.

Okay... Okay already! I'm sorry I mentioned that I threw the service department some work that I would have done myself!!!!!!!!!!!!:smt013
Ron were at MM in brick! Mr Salt that's not always so, you pay for facilities and infrastructure, in NYC you pay for the address. Trust me I grew up there and if I had a 540 I probably wouldn't have complained about the price!

We are at Baywood Marina. Been there for 20+ years Good location, safe haven, good service department and really good staff. Lots of friendly boaters as well, looking out for each other

We will be paying $3,700 for our slip, for about a 6-6/12 month season. Has shore power, but that's about it. But it is in a no-wake channel, so that part is nice. (My sig pic is taken off the dock of our slip.)

You need to get off of Minnetonka and go to the river. I pay 2350 for slip with water, pool, showers, etc. I can boat for many miles without having to circle back. La can back that one up. A lake is only a few miles away if you want a lake to boat on.

You mean to tell me there are harbors/marinas that rent slips that are NOT in no wake zones? Man those got to be CHEAP!

While most may be in no wake zones, many are in open bays, or the main part of lake, so waves eventually make to those slips anyway. I'm in a channel, so waves can't make it from the main part of the lake.

Ya, I know the river is cheaper, and I've been on it a couple times, but my wife doesn't like it as much, and it is further from where we live. I like the river, except for the staining it did to my last boat.

I can easily take a 3 hour cruise or longer without seeing the same part of the lake though. That's the nice part of a 14,000 acre lake.

Too bad we can't have both. I would like to criuse the lake sometime but I am in the river.

$3,400 for the summer season, 40ft slip electric is extra this is in Brooklyn NY. We are about 30 min from manhattan.

So I guess the $ 94 per year to the town for our mooring permit, and the $ 120.00 per year to the neighborhood dock association is a good deal?

Yes, very good deal! Henry, you mentioned "mooring permit" Does that mean you don't leave it right at the dock? Brian

$1183. 30' slip, 30a power and water. In a protected basin, stay left and you're on Lake Erie. Stay right and you're on the Niagara river. May 1 to October 15
