Another question tonight...

Has anyone upgraded or replaced the latch mechanism on the sliding door to the salon? I would love to have a new, more modern, handle and latch system found on contemporary boats. The current version is temperamental and difficult to operate.

Thanks!

Flounder Pounder sells a direct replacement latch if you just want to get a new one that works correctly. However, they also sell a version with a handle. Their website says it only takes adding one extra hole to attach the handle: http://www.searay-parts.com/Mobella-Talon-slider-door-latch-chrome-p/mobella talonchr whighseas.htm

Good Evening,

We purchased a switch cover for the electrical panel to guard shore/generator power, but it doesn't fit the right side of the panel and allow the generator to be selected on. Does anyone have a close up of their switch covers to compare?

Thanks!
Flounder Pounder also sells these (maybe thats where you got it). Their website says it will need modification with a file to make it work. http://www.searay-parts.com/Carling-Technologies-circuit-breaker-slide-bar-p/11-0135.htm

I will be at the boat tomorrow morning and will snap a picture of my Line 2 cover/switch. But I can tell you I don't have that double toggle switch on the generator side for Line 2. I have the same single toggle as on Line 1.

Good Evening,

We have the standard Berber carpeting in the cockpit which is in good condition. However, it is very susceptible to mold after it gets wet. Previously I removed the carpet, thoroughly cleaned it, let it dry, then applied 303 protectant. Worked for a few months, but back to getting mold again.

Does anyone have experience with this or a solution? Thanks in advance!
My boat had no cockpit carpet when I bought it. I recently installed Infinity PVC carpet-like flooring. Love it. No mold. No special cleaning needed. No protectant needed. There are some pictures of both mine and others install of this earlier in this thread.

Thank you very much for all of your replies!

I was looking for switch in the engine compartment to change from port to starboard fuel tank and vice versa if one tank would be empty, but I can't find one..... am I just blind or is there none?

My fuel valves are located in the port side cockpit compartment, although mine is an earlier model, yours may be located in one of the access doors of the cockpit as well.

I recall reading in the owners manual of this being an optional component. As others have mentioned, it is the starboard cabinet (aft most). Not that you asked, but this is for the engines only. the Genny is plumbed directly to the stbd tank.

Aviator, checked at the boat today and my line 1 and line 2 switches and sliding cover are identical - same as your line 1. I have no idea why you have a double pole switch on line 2.

Thank you for checking for me, I appreciate it. Mysterious… No wonder our cover doesn’t fit!

Juergen,

Here’s another photo of the shade on the rear of the Bimini. Sorry couldn’t figure out how to PM the photo…

Prop Question

Anyone have a recommendation for my 7.4 MPI gas engines prop size.
My size prop is 22X22. Are these the right size for my boat??
I thought I had 22x23. What is the difference for speed etc.
Thanks.

Can you post a picture of the replacement latch? Did you install the version with the handle?

Thanks,

Kurt
